In order to understand the molecular basis for the potential long-term toxicity of PSP. The study will focus on its effects on the expression of novel proteins in differentiating H9c2 rat cardiomyocyte-like cells detected by Mass spectrometry .
Methods
H9c2 cells were induced to differentiated for 7 days in the presence of PSP
Results
It was found that sublethal concentration 3 µM PSP had a significant decrease on the expression of novel cardiac cytoskeleton proteins, which are ( Calumenin, Caveolin-3, PDZ and LIM domain protein 1 and Coiled-coil domain-containing protein 61)
These proteins are probably closely associated with the morphological changes such as observed in experiments. Thus, these findings may represent a molecular mechanism for long-term OP-induced cytotoxicity in differentiating H9c2 cells. This is the first study to report the effect of sublethal concentrations of OPs in cardiac-like cells.
